This solution works perfectly in a Toyota RAV4 (2003) Item as describe, very good quality and finishing (better plastics than original, but without Toyota logo). Obviously, you need the original transponder (inside mechanism from the original car key). The original Toyota key is very expensive and the case is very fragile. Toyota only provide the complete key (case and transponder) with additional cost of new key codification service. If you have a functional key only with the case broken this solution is perfect. Only you need to cut the key copying the original (most of the key duplication services will do this for you) and put the mechanism inside. MotorGuard sent the keys in perfect state in few days. Save yourself ££s Simply place the inner part of your key and have a key cut. Toyota will charge you couple of hundereds for a spare key. This is the most effective and chepest solution.
perfect, broken key, now problem solved great product and miles cheaper than ordering through garage!just note that the key wont turn the engine over until the inside bits are back in it, i took my key back to keycutter thinking it was the cutting problem. Felt a bit silly but the key cutting guys had a laugh so no harm done!
