fun, cheap little car this was a jokey gift for my wife which rapidly became one of the most successful presents of the day.
good overall but slow ordered for xmas present, turned up on xmas eve despite ice and snow : )The car itself is OK for the price, I wouldnt want to pay any more – it is quite slow tbh and the steering is lack luster. However it is quite durable and despite many hits against walls, still goes well. Rechargeable batts are reccomended, this car goes ALOT better with fully charged batteries.
Suprisingly Good Much to my amazement, this little car actually worked very well. Ok, so it is forwards/reverse/stop and the same for the steering, but for £6.50, I wasn’t exactly expecting any more. What’s really surprised me is that despite running it on sainsbury’s own brand AA batteries, it’s run for well over 3 or 4 hours without replacing them.It’s been bought for dismantling and reusing in other projects, but we had it going around the electronics lab at uni, even doing doughnuts at one point – although the floor in the lab is very slippery. This item will duly be converted into a mini robot-wars robot.I would, and have recommeded this, and the Electronics Society at uni is considering investing in a few of them for members to resuse as a wheelbase in other projects.
