It WILL read your codes Had a concern about standards as my vehicle is U.S.A (Jeep), so the comprehensive list of supported standards on the spec. was a major attraction, also that Jeep is in the ‘recognised’ code-assistance list built into the machine.In fact, no problems, plugged straight in and came back with the codes. (If not, try with the ignition ON, but not ‘start’)Regarding the device itself, it’s well-made, robust and comes with a comprehensive and well written manual. You may find reference to a battery – there isn’t one, this model takes its power from the vehicle, but will also fire up out of the box with the USB cable to your computer.First task, unless you speak Italian, will be to find the Italian for ‘language’ (Lingua) in setup and change it to English (Russian or Chinese, if you prefer). It’s straightforward from there. Overall, very pleased.
Buy it! Mercedes told me it would cost £120 to remove airbag light on my wife’s A-Class. 30 seconds after plugging in the VS890 it was gone & has stayed gone! Saved me nearly 90 quid so it’s a big thumbs up from me!
